Katie Perry
More than twenty-five years ago, when Katie Perry was looking to move from a part-time to a full-time job when her children were small, she didn’t really know what a financial services firm was. She landed a job with A.G. Edwards, working with Peter Hafner and several other financial professionals, serving in an administrative function, and she quickly learned the business.
Ten years later in 2006, Katie joined Peter as his sole employee when he opened the Hafner Financial Group and embraced learning all aspects of running a business in order to help Peter get the firm off the ground. She earned her Series 7 and 63 licenses in order to make trades with all types of corporate securities on behalf of the firm’s clients and manages many aspects of the business. Katie has been witness to tremendous change in the financial industry in her tenure, including the use of technology and the increase in regulation.
Katie is very proud of her two grown children and now resides with her husband Gordon and their two rescue dogs. She enjoys hiking and camping the NY State Parks.
Small children are still part of her world as well, as she is also a proud grandma to her grandson Harlon and granddaughter Hazel.
