Frequently Asked Question

We know you have many choices when it comes to financial advisory firms. Not all firms are the same and at Hafner Financial, we understand the needs of the typical investor. Below are our frequently asked questions. If you have additional questions please contact us or fill out the form at the bottom of the page.

Do I need a financial advisor?

In our media-saturated world, there is certainly no shortage of financial information. Books, magazines, websites, and television shows provide daily commentary and recommendations on where the market is going and how we, as investors, should handle our money. So with all this information, it should be easy to figure out how best to manage your money, right?

It is precisely this overload of information that can actually make it more difficult to determine what is in your best interests, especially when the “recommendations” are often contradictory.

By working with a financial advisor, you have the benefit of his or her experience and expertise to help guide you. An unbiased third party can also help take the emotion out of investing and help you establish and prioritize your financial goals. Once your goals are established, a financial advisor can help you develop a plan that is specific to you and your family and chart a course for helping you work towards those goals.

An experienced financial advisor can help you determine what you will need for the retirement you envision and work with you to manage your current investments to realize the strongest gain while minimizing risk.

Can you help enhance my IRA and 401k portfolio?

Yes, we can. More specifically, what we would do with your 401k is examine the investment options available in the plan and then work with you to create an assert allocation that is appropriate to your situation. For the IRA it would be a similar process.

Once we agree to work together, what are our next steps to get started?

Our first step is to have you complete a financial profile form, something that allows us to find out more about you and your current investments. All information is confidential, and kept secure in our office. We then follow up with a personal review meeting, where we sit down to discuss your experiences, risk tolerance level, and investments you are comfortable with.

Before we finalize your plan, we strive to make sure you are comfortable with the approach taken - and all of this communication is transparent. There is no hidden agenda at Hafner Financial Group. Our goal is to serve your financial planning needs with a complete understanding of your comfort level with various types of investments.
